Requirements:

• G class Ontario license
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Must own a smartphone with a data plan (reminder: as a subcontractor, this is tax-deductible, at least in part)
• Ability to download and operate smartphone-based apps for communication, navigation and information tracking (e.g. Google Maps, Google Sheets, Gmail)
• Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to move packages up to 150 pounds with assistive device(s)
• Must be able to work calmly and quickly under pressure.
• Must have excellent organizational skills.
• Must be a self-motivated problem solver.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe driving habits at all times.
• Utilize a smartphone and apps such as Google Maps, Google Sheets, and Gmail to communicate and track information.
• Perform a daily Inspection report for the delivery vehicle.
• Load the delivery vehicle with the day’s freight in a timely, well-organized fashion
• Organize and optimize the day’s delivery stops quickly and efficiently, using the scanner/manifest and a personal organizational strategy (e.g. smartphone-based apps like Circuit/Road Warrior, Google Maps, etc.)
• Maintain a working knowledge of the scanner, accurately tracking deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain professionalism at all times when interacting with customers.
• Maintain public health protocols as required by the policies of Gratus courier, and the clients we serve.
