POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated Security Supervisor who combines the ability to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances, while delivering high quality customer service.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively at various levels.
• Experience scheduling and managing staff.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Use of communication systems to report and inform.
• Prepares logs and reports as required.
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual (English and French)
• 3-5 years of direct supervision of 20 or more staff
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Current and valid Security License or the ability to obtain one
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR AED
• Police Foundations Diploma is an asset
• Computer knowledge
• Ability to stand and walk complete foot patrol for long periods of time
• Excellent customer service skills

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to five (5) Kilograms and occasional lifting and/or moving up to eleven (11) Kilograms.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable Provincial and municipal licensing requirements for Security Guards.
• Must have the ability to use a computer and operating controls along with client security software applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00 per hour
