About You

You're a compassionate and empathetic individual driven to provide the best possible care to the residents you serve. You love building long-term relationships with the people in your care and will go the extra mile for them when the situation calls for it. You’re great at communicating instructions in a way that anyone can understand and speaking calmly and friendly, even when the conversation is difficult. You’re a rockstar regarding details, consistently planning ahead for the residents you serve. People remark that you genuinely care about them and make them feel heard. Your co-workers like you and always want to be on your team. You’re also known for your sense of humour and fun-loving spirit.

You’ll have graduated from a recognized post-secondary Licensed Practical Nurse program with a current registration in good standing with the BCCN&M. You’ll also come with experience as a nurse in a long term care environment, preferably.

About The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out person-centred care plans for our stable residents. You’ll perform a range of nursing interventions, such as resident assessments, treatments, and medication administration, as well as provide direction to the care team. You’ll provide wound care, conduct various resident assessments, communicate with family members and service providers, and collaborate with the RN regarding care planning. You’ll become an ambassador of Baptist Housing and model our values in all interactions. These positions are permanent part-time and you’ll report to the Director of Care.

There are opportunities with the following shifts options plus Casual shifts as well:

• Morning 4 hours shifts (07:00-11:00) FTE 0.391 – schedule 3 days on 3 days off
• Evening 4 hours shifts (16:30-20:30) FTE 0.391 – schedule 3 days on 3 days off
• Evening 7 hours shifts (15:00-22:00) FTE 0.810 – schedule 4 days on 2 days off
• Day & Evening shifts (07:00-15:00/15:00-23:00) FTE 0.979 – schedule 4 days on 2 days off
