Summer Library Assistant Job at York University
Purpose:
This position provides a wide range of circulation and reserves services in the Peter F Bronfman Business Library, Scott Library and Steacie Science and Engineering Library from a public service desk in person, by telephone and via library's on-line system.
Education:
High school diploma.
Experience:
Some experience providing customer services to the public is preferrable.
Skills:
Ability to deal calmly and courteously with the public and with difficult patrons. Excellent customer service skills. Basic keyboard skills. Basic cash handling. Accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Notes:
Ability to move e.g. bending, reaching and lift library materials up to 20lbs when re-shelving books, pushing and pulling loaded book trucks.
