Posting Overview:
Reporting to the System Coordinator of Alternative and Continuing Education, LBS instructors will ensure that all requirements of the LBS program are met and will provide instruction and support to LBS students for the duration of the program.
This position may be extended pending annual funding.
Qualifications/Experience:
- University degree;
- Ontario College of Teachers membership an asset;
- Experience as an LBS instructor;
- Knowledge of the secondary school curriculum;
- Experience teaching and/or working with adult learners;
- Experience teaching and/or working with Indigenous learners;
- Experience teaching and/or working with students with learning challenges;
- Experience working in a performance based environment;
- Experience working with community partners and social services organizations;
- Experience with online learning environments and the use of online tools;
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
Position Effective Date & Length:
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., 20 hours/week
Additional hours may be available for project work.

Rate of pay - $27.08/hour
