Red Deer Village (hiring immediately)

Primarily responsible for maintaining the physical asset of the property and day-to-day operations under the direction of the Community Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
• Carry pager/cell phone as required for on-call maintenance
• Perform minor building, plumbing, electrical, painting, and some carpentry repairs as necessary
• Complete grounds work as directed by Community Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and snow removal
• Responsible for alerting the Community Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, and Federal guidelines
• Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook

Education & Experience

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must have valid driver’s license and provide driver’s abstract.
• Knowledge of modular home maintenance an asset.
• Able to work in confined spaces (under units for winterization and plumbing issues)
• Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
• Must be proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Strongly demonstrates ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Background check required.
