Telecon is looking for an IT Intern to join our Technical Support Team in Vaughan.

Main responsibilities:

• Meet and assist users in configuring and using software and peripherals at their workstations;
• Analyze hardware and software problems while providing appropriate solutions;
• Carry out technical tasks such as configuration, maintenance and installation of computer equipment;
• Meet, inform and assist users by phone, email or in person;
• Provide support and assure follow-up on various requests submitted and refer them as needed;
• Solve problems according to priorities and deadlines;
• Handle, transport, test and inventory the hardware and any equipment put under your responsibility;
• Take preventive measures and advise users in order to make them self-sufficient;
• Participate in different updates, monitoring file changes or recurring problems;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Required skills & abilities:

• College degree in Computer Science
• Excellent knowledge of English, both orally and in writing (French would be considered an Asset)
• Excellent knowledge of software MS Office and knowledge networking
• Good communication skills and customer focus
• Show initiative and good judgment
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure
• Ability to manage priorities
• Strong team player
• Motivated and engaged
• Ability to work On site in Telecon Office
