Blackstone Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time veterinary assistant/receptionist to join our brand new, very well-equipped hospital in East Gwillimbury. We are an independently owned
Veterinary Hospital run by two progressive and experienced veterinarians. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated team member with great customer service skills and a motivation to help grow the hospital. Our ideal candidate must be outgoing with a positive attitude, have excellent communication skills and a desire to build lasting relationships with clients, patients and the hospital team. A passion for client education is an asset.

Job responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to,

- Communication with clients and team members
- Answering phones, making appointments and invoicing clients
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Computer skills are an asset
- Assisting our veterinarians and technicians
- Helping to maintain and keep the clinic clean
- Caring for hospitalized patients and creating a stress free environment
- Take initiative to get things done without supervision
- Other duties which are needed to maintain or improve the hospital
