Job Requirements:
We currently have an opening for a Structural (Buildings) Engineer-in-Training in our Vancouver office.
As the ideal candidate, you are an excellent communicator with effective organizational skills and leadership potential, who thrives in a dynamic work environment. Your abilities will be strengthened and grown through a range of projects focused on the delivery and management of structural projects. You will also have the opportunity to develop a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited university.- Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training with EGBC.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in consulting engineering is an asset.
- Familiar with structural analysis programs such as SAP 2000 or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of local building codes and Canadian design codes.
- Ability to read, interpret and create drawings and specifications.
- Ability to compose technical memorandum and technical report with minimal supervision.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- General knowledge of construction methods and project delivery processes.
- Site experience is an asset.
