TELUS Agriculture we work on building next generation farm management and analytics software. In this role, you will be working on a team that is responsible for developing application software that the end-user will be interacting with. You will be solving real-world problems that the agriculture industry faces daily and working on features such as Satellite Imagery, Field
Equipment Data, Scouting Analytics, and more. Our software manages over 100 million acres of agricultural land worldwide and is backed by a team of more than 1,200 experts. At TELUS Agriculture, we empower our engineers to form their own opinions and advocate for the solutions that fit best.
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Developer to become part of our Team. The successful candidate will work closely with our technical lead(s) to identify best practices, solutions and execute them. You will establish configuration management processes and tools, automate our infrastructure, implement continuous integration, monitoring for automated system health checks, various analytics and train the team in DevOps best practices to achieve a continuously deployable system. You will help us build secure, scalable, efficient cloud-based infrastructure.

Here's how:
Analyze current cloud infrastructure technology utilized within the company, develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
Design, develop and maintain IAC scripting for all environments
Identify and implement monitoring metrics to ensure system health and security
Manage CI / CD processes, pipelines and tools for both mobile and web
Ensure all best practices and procedures as established by industry and the company are being met
Implement all corporate security requirements within our environment or assist the Cloud Infrastructure Team to do so
What you bring to the role
The candidates should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- C#, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, Visual Studio / Azure Dev Ops (much preferred), AWS Dev Ops, Server Client Architecture, Web API, GIT
- Configuration Management experience such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
- Containerizing & Clustering: Compose, Docker, Dockerfiles, ECS, Kubernetes
- Managing infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
- Strong Linux, less so Windows system administration background
- Experience maintaining and deploying secure, highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
- Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form
- Strong knowledge of Azure, GCP or other cloud platforms
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT / Programming or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a software / web-application developer
- Experience with database design, complex query development and SQL Server Management Studio
- Demonstrated adherence to best practices, excellent communication and documentation skills
