ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• RECE: Planning and implementing programs in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy, all which suit the children’s interests.
• Childcare Assistant: Actively participate in working with children in the room, engaged in activities and supporting the educators in the room. Set up materials, clean and disinfect, and aide during transition times. Follow the guidance of the RECE in the classroom.
• Monitor children during learning times, mealtimes, restroom breaks, and nap times.
• Takes initiative in the classroom and always provides excellent supervision and interaction with children in your care.
• Help to prepare an environment in which children feel safe and respected, while offering developmentally appropriate activities and conversations to stimulate their development, sense of curiosity, and growth.
• Work with children in all age groups (Infants through School Age).
• Work a minimum of nine (9) days per month.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of work in a licensed childcare centre or one year of work in a childcare centre located internationally.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certificate.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Medical check completed.
• Excellent (verbal and written) communication and interpersonal skills.
