Store Assistant Job at Neko Fresh Japanese Grocery Store
Neko Fresh is a new Japanese Grocery Store in central Burnaby. We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality customer service all the time and a taste of Japanese foods.
What you will bring along
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to approach and greet the public
- Must be willing to participate in continuous learning and training
- Must be able to work in a team
- Retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Knowledge in Japanese is an asset
- Food Safe Certificate is an asset
What you will be doing
- Direct engagement in sales or cashier duties, or in performing services for customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods at all times.
- Following safety, health, and security rules; Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and ensuring that displays meet the visual standards of the Store.
- Process payments via cash, credit or debit card and deal with returns of merchandise as per company rules & policies.
- Handling customer complaints in a respectful manner and report to supervisors.
- Opening and closing operations.
- Facilitate customer returns at store level.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Organize product display.
- Assist with floor sales and customer inquiries.
- Monitor and complete product price change if needed.
- Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
- Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
