Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to be a part of our growing platform service offerings in relation to data science, data engineering, and Machine Learning.
In this role you will be part of a team tasked with building, deploying and supporting microservice applications. You will create core features to service the client's data needs, as well as engineer new feature solutions for the platform, train and deploy machine learning models, and engineer workflows for clients to seamlessly integrate our services into their own.

You will create core features to service the client's data needs, as well as engineer new feature solutions for the platform, train and deploy machine learning models, and engineer workflows for clients to seamlessly integrate our services into their own.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Infrastructure-as-code and application code deployments on cloud platforms
- Use SAFe (Agile), GitFlow, and Pivotree’s CI/CD workflow in all the development process
- Troubleshooting application issues & incidents, performance and otherwise
- Diagnose and fix issues in complex web environments involving cloud, software and networking.
- Innovate and continuously improve features to solve data problems.
- Look for opportunities to explore new technology solutions that can be integrated into the platform with data as its focus.
- Participate in gathering requirements and formulating customer solutions with data scientists.
- Mentor and assist your peers in your areas of expertise
- 4+ years building solutions on AWS or other public cloud platforms.
- 4+ years practical development with Docker
- Development experience with Docker containers.
- Technical experience working with AWS EC2, ECS, ECR, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Sagemaker, and others
- Advanced skills in Node.js
- Familiarity with unit testing software (jest and pytest)
- Experience building test libraries for integration testing with Postman
- Familiarity with python
- Familiarity with troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
- Familiarity with PySpark, and sci-kit learn
- Experience with deployment automation: Bitbucket pipelines.
