As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will coordinate the activities of a programming team that is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support/maintenance of mobile, web and desktop applications. Primary duties include:
- Mentor, coach and train programmers and programmer/analysts and acts as a project leader in the development of new systems and enhancements.
- Design, develop, implement and support/maintain of mobile, web and desktop applications
- Monitor the progress of the development of new systems.
- Prepare time and cost estimates and establish schedules for the completion of tasks and projects.
- Create user requirements, system design documents and programming specifications along formulating testing procedures.
- Provide technical advice and expertise to system users and test new programs and support existing applications.
- Discuss status reports at weekly team meetings.
Qualifications
- A Technical Diploma (equivalent to 2 years of full-time study) in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; OR
- A Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Previous experience with web and mobile frameworks, UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design disciplines, database technologies, scripting such as Oracle or SQLServer and developing distributed systems/microservices is required.
- Working knowledge of modern development languages and frameworks such as: Scrum Framework, ITIL/ITSM, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Entity Framework, Angular V4+, C#, .Net Core 5.0/6.0, Blazor, Docker, Github, MS Power Platform, GitLab and Test Automation are considered assets.
- Experience with development work related to enterprise data warehousing is preferred.
- Experience leading team-based agile development including code, resource and task management to deliver projects on time is an asset.
- Experience using Niche Records Management, OpenText Content Server(LiveLink), Intergraph CAD, HRIS/HRMS systems, Payroll systems and Training Management systems is preferred.

- Success in this position requires effective communication skills, efficiency and thoroughness, analytical thinking, change management, focus on results, coaching and development skills along with the ability to build strong relationships.

Out of Schedule Rates: $52.16 – 63.46 per hour
(This position is presently paid an out of schedule rate to reflect
current market conditions. Should market conditions change,
the salary may be reviewed and may revert to the base rate.)
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
