Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Interior Designer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic appeal and ambiance of our boutique hotels. As an interior designer, you will collaborate closely with our executive and management team to create captivating designs that align with our brand vision. A strong, motivated team is already in place, and we are looking for a candidate with the same drive and commitment.

Salary: 75,000-85,000

Location: Canmore & Calgary

Shifts: Monday-Friday, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and present creative design concepts that capture the Basecamp essence, blending modern and clean aesthetics with cozy mountain town charm.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of design projects within a budget and timeline constraint.
- Assess and evaluate space requirements, assess potential design limitations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Source and select furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, and accessories that align with the Basecamp brand.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions to continuously enhance our hotel interiors.

Skills and Experience

- Creative vision, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to various design styles.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the architects and contractors.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements

- Certification in interior design is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in Interior Design.
- Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a portfolio showcasing projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
