Who We Are

The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) is the primary registry body for purebred dogs in Canada and currently recognizes 187 breeds. As a non-profit organization, the CKC is dedicated to encouraging, guiding, and advancing the interests of purebred dogs and their responsible owners and breeders in Canada and promoting the knowledge and understanding of the benefits which dogs can bring to Canadian society.

The CKC is incorporated under Animal Pedigree Act, a federal statute under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food. The organization includes approximately 20,000 individual members and over 700 breed clubs across Canada. The Club registers purebred dogs, regulates dog shows and performance events, and speaks out on major issues concerning dog ownership and the health & welfare of dogs across Canada.

Position Title: Microsoft CRM Senior Developer

Division: Ebusiness

Reports to: IT Development Manager

Direct reports: none

Nature and Scope of Position: The Microsoft CRM Senior Developer will build and maintain CRM and web applications. This includes both day-to-day support, iterative improvements, and project work.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, build, and maintain high-traffic, scalable services and solutions based on the Dynamics 365 platform focused on quality and efficiency.

· Work with the project team to clarify requirements, define user story acceptance criteria, break down complex stories into tasks, develop estimates, plan and deliver solutions

· Take End-to-End ownership of delivery, including crafting technical specifications, writing readable and extensible code, and writing concise technical documentation for the configuration and developed components and customizations.

· Apply quality assurance methods in all aspects of software development

· Communicate on the status of work plans and tasks to design, develop, and test assigned project work.

· Troubleshoot production issues with team members to identify and address problems.

· Contribute to improvements in the organization’s software development methodology and practices

· Mentor and coach developers, providing them guidance and sharing knowledge of evolving industry best practices and standards.

Requirements:

· College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or demonstrated related work experience

· Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft .NET development using C#, JSON, Javascript, JS web resources, MVC

· Experience with Microsoft Platform (Azure, Azure SQL Server, D365, SharePoint, PowerShell, Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)

· 5+ years’ experience with software development, specifically around Microsoft Dynamics CRM

o Experience using MS Dynamics CRM SDK/Web API kit, web services and PowerApps

o Entities - Proficiency in customizing and creating CRM entities, mappings, and relationships

o Fields - Proficiency in developing and configuring fields and field properties; using calculated fields and rollup fields; configuring global option sets, and configuring field-level security

o Forms – Proficiency in customizing Dynamics 365 CRM forms

o Business Rules – Proficiency in configuring business rules, conditions, and actions

o Workflows - Proficiency in creating and enabling business process flows, working with steps, stages, and categories, working with multiple entities; using conditional branching and implementing role-driven business process flows

o Reporting – Experience in implementing Dynamics CRM views and visualizations and Power BI reports

· Working knowledge and understanding of Azure DevOps and GitHub

· Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

· Experience in managing large and complex deployment and configurations

· Experience in data migration and synchronization with Dynamics 365.

· Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes

· Ability to write concise technical documentation.

· Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills.

Other:

· Experience with Sitefinity and the Portal Connector would be an asset

Must reside in Canada and be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident.

Salary: $58,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
