Receptionist/General Assistant Job at Canadian Forge and Farrier Supply
You don't need to be an expert in what we sell to still be a GREAT FIT HERE.
This is a unique place to work, we sell horseshoes, anvils, forges, and the supplies and tools that are used with them.
You'd work in a great little shop on the outer west edge of Edmonton, and help us help farriers helping horses, and an assortment of knifemakers, crafters, and blacksmiths both local and around Canada.
While a little knowledge about horses would be helpful copious enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, curiousity and attention to detail will get you far.
Great Attention to Detail: It's a must so we send the right items and to keep life organized.
Positive & Helpful: You can ensure customers have a helpful and rewarding experience. This can involve a wide and diverse task list, but the focus is greeting and answering customer questions, check-out sales, and packing small orders to ship.
Location: You'll work at our shop on the Western Outskirts of Edmonton in a nice rural setting. There is a possibility a little bit of extra work can be done remotely, eventually.

Computer & Typing Skills: You will need adequate typing and good general computer skills.
Good Physical Condition is required as helping customers, receiving, stocking, & packing products, and other projects involve mobility and sometimes modest strength.
Additional Interest or Skill Opportunities: If you have interests or strengths we will try and match them with special job projects, including but not limited to:
- Tasks with the Online Store: Light Graphics / Product Resources
- Tasks with product prep: Mixing, filling, cutting, rolling and wrapping, labeling, etc.
- Tasks Outdoors: Grounds maintenance projects
- Tasks with Production: Product assembly, casting assistance.
Work Time Flexibility: There may be some flexibility with the hours worked per day, and the number of days worked per week, to suit.
Reporting: You report directly to the owner and will work well in close partnership with our total staff of 4-5 persons.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-40 per week
Salary: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
