This hospital's long heritage as a leader in the treatment of mental illness is currently sustained by 1200 employees, including physicians, from a wide range of disciplines and about 80 dedicated volunteers. In March 2020 the Ontario Government funded and built on the work done by 4 regional networks who delivered Increasing Access to Structured Psychotherapy (IASP) creating the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program. This program is provincially lead by Dr. Martin Antony and provides free, short-term Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults experiencing depression, anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder and/or post-traumatic stress disorder within the province of Ontario. The OSP Program Manager is currently seeking two Psychologist - Clinical Consultant & Trainer's to help support the program with consultation and training to therapists in the OSP Program and other health care providers.

As a Psychologist with the OSP program, you will be providing clinical consultation and training in CBT to therapists in the OSP Program who are autonomous or qualifying members of a regulated College eligible to provide the controlled act of psychotherapy in hospital, outpatient, and community-based care settings. In this role you will co-facilitate the online OSP CBT training courses that all OSP therapists are required to complete, as well as others that are developed, based on principles of adult learning. You will take a leadership role in the development of materials to support OSP CBT protocol adoption by OSP therapists. You will train and keep abreast of OSP, CBT protocols, training programs and consultation requirements and virtually collaborate with the regional OSP leadership and management teams at service delivery sites. As a subject matter expert, you will provide feedback, suggestions, and advice as requested to the OSP team as well as participate in regional and provincial development of the OSP program. In this role you will be reviewing OSP therapist session and will assist therapists in completing differential diagnostic assessments. You will provide clinical consultation to other clinicians (e.g., SW, RP, OT, RN) who are engaged in the provision of CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy for individuals who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress).

As an ideal candidate, you must have a PhD in clinical psychology and be registered as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in CBT and formal supervised CBT training as well as experience in adult education training. CPT for PTSD, and/or working with clients who have experienced based gender violence and/or working with clients in BIPOC communities and/or working with clients in LGBTQ2 communities would be considered an asset. Results oriented and autonomous, collaborative individuals with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills will be successful in this virtual environment. This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of something with high social impact as well as with an ability to continue to develop an evolving provincial service program.

By Joining the OSP program and Waypoint team, you will be a part of an inclusive, accessible work environment, where all employees feel valued and respected.
