This position sits within our Virtual Learning Business, specifically in Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS), helping to support our various academic partner institutions in Higher Education.
Your role:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Strategic Operations, and in partnership with the Marketing & Enrollment teams, you will manage the execution of operational initiatives and activities which will contribute to improved measurement, reporting, and outcomes for the Marketing & Enrollment division. You will lead and manage improvements via continuous improvement and project-based initiatives with a mix of internal and external partners as necessary.
- Develop ways-of-working, including operating in a continuous improvement framework.
- Develop systems and processes to manage resources from budget to talent and staffing, including management of agency, contractor and contingent workers.
- Drive more visibility, transparency, and accountability across teams.
- Design and implement business operations; establish policies and processes that support Marketing & Enrollment and our internal and external partnerships.
- Ensure that marketing and learner acquisition team members maintain a high level of currency as SMEs in their fields.
- Drive operational work surrounding Marketing & Enrollment technology solutions to optimize results in marketing, recruiting and enrollment.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to SVP, Marketing & Endollment and Sr. Director, Strategic Operations as required (calendaring, all team meetings planning, etc.)
- Serve as an alternate for Sr. Director, Strategic Operations, at internal and external facing-meetings as needed.
Your qualifications:
- An advanced degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role and preferably in a leadership position for 2+ years
- 4+ years of experience working collaborative across the range of services
- 4 + years of experience in process improvement and project work
- Experienced in change management and strategy to support operational improvements across a series of domains in marketing and recruitment
- Track record of leading and influencing others in a constructive manner to build and sustain collaborative relationships
- A demonstrated ability to work remotely with minimal supervision (this is a remote-accessible position) under highly dynamic workloads with the ability to be highly effective while managing shifting internal expectations and priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to drive action
- Ability to work creatively, using a variety of resources with a track record of developing actionable recommendations from research data with a comfort level in using data to support or refute assumptions and recommendations
- Passionate about staying up-to-date and engaged with industry expertise
- Superior analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and present research and strategy
- Focused attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and tight timelines
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communications skills effective with broad and diverse audiences
While this position is remote-eligible, it includes the potential of up to 20% travel. As such, candidate proximity to a major US airport is preferred.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $95,000.00 - $105,000.00.
