Sephora has been changing the face of prestige cosmetics since its debut in 1970s Paris. Sephora was acquired by luxury group Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) in 1997 featuring nearly 300 brands. Sephora offers beauty products including cosmetics, skincare, body, fragrance and haircare. Sephora opened its first Canadian store in Toronto in 2004. Sephora currently operates over 360 stores across North America and in 33 countries worldwide.

As a Paid Services Beauty Advisor you will complete the Sephora Paid Services Accelerated Learning Program. After your initial on-boarding has been completed (2-3 weeks) you will begin your Services training. This training process will take approximately 1 month, and will include both virtual and hands on training to set you up for success in executing services that comply with Sephora standards (timing, hygiene, selling model). From there you will complete a final certification and begin Paid Services on clients! You'll drive and execute services at the Beauty Studio and Skin Studio while ensuring check in compliance, provide clients outstanding service, complete certifications and on-going trainings to develop artistry and skincare knownledge, and cash out all Paid Services clients on our POS system. Additionally, between Services you will provide friendly and knowable service to all clients in our Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance, Haircare and Cash areas.

• Passionate about Clients Greet all clients who enter the store with enthusiasm. Provide courteous, knowledgeable service to clients. Determine client's needs and suggest products to meet their needs. Communicate product knowledge to clients as appropriate. As required, provide makeovers to clients.
• Training & Development Ensure that "in-depth" brand training is successfully completed. Actively pursue additional product knowledge as needed. Cross train other Beauty Advisors.
• Operational Excellence Participate in inventory control. Communicate inventory issues/concerns to Manager. Ensure compliance with sampling policies and procedures. Be knowledgeable of special events/animations within the store. Participate in programs to reduce shortage/loss. Designated advisors to be knowledgeable of cashier functions.

• Complete Sephora training and certification program

We’d love to hear from you if…

• You have 1 to 3 years’ experience in retail or service industry.
• You have completed formal training via post-secondary or specialty school for Makeup Artistry and Esthetics (examples include but are not limited to: Canadian Beauty College, College of Makeup Art and Design, Blanche Macdonald)
• Minimum 1 year of formal working experience with beauty brand, salon, or spa, including product applications and demonstrations on clients
• Minimum 1 year experience freelancing services (editorial, wedding, etc.)
• You have excellent verbal/written communications skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
• You are able to have a flexible work schedule and work days, nights, and weekends.
