The Alberni-Clayoquot Continuing Care Society is an independent, non-profit organization operating two long-term care Homes (Fir Park Village & Echo Village) in Port Alberni, British Columbia on beautiful Vancouver island.

We are currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist. Relocation incentives may be offered as part of the compensation package.

Position Summary:

• Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Occupation Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) as well as within a client and resident centered care model.
• Plans, develops and implements rehab assessment and intervention for residents.
• Collaborates with management team, interdisciplinary team members, education resources and other health care professional/providers to achieve excellence in health services and education.

Qualifications: * Degree in Occupational Therapy and two years’ experience in residential care working with older adults or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapist of British Columbia.
• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
