Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for supporting a client group in all areas of HR including labour relations (including grievance management), employee relations, compensation, recruitment, Health & Safety, and employment law. The HRG will provide day to day support for all employees within their assigned client group, and specifically will guide/support Managers in their assigned client group as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primarily responsible for supporting an assigned client group in all areas of HR
• Guiding/supporting Managers on all HR issues
• Grievance management, arbitration preparation
• Attendance management
• Various administrative functions for assigned client group
• Ensures alignment with established policies and procedures
• Drive employee engagement in assigned client group
• Participate in development & delivery of training programs for Managers
• HR projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field of study combined with three (3) years of Human Resources experience
• High School diploma or equivalent combined with five (5) years of Human Resources experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, preferably dealing with a unionized workforce
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to speak, read, and write the French language fluently
• CPHR certification.
• Proficiency with the Google suite of applications
• Experience dealing with multiple unions among the same workforces
