Job Description
Allied Universal® is hiring a Human Resources Generalist. The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for supporting a client group in all areas of HR including labour relations (including grievance management), employee relations, compensation, recruitment, Health & Safety, and employment law. The HRG will provide day to day support for all employees within their assigned client group, and specifically will guide/support Managers in their assigned client group as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily responsible for supporting an assigned client group in all areas of HR
- Guiding/supporting Managers on all HR issues
- Grievance management, arbitration preparation
- Attendance management
- Various administrative functions for assigned client group
- Ensures alignment with established policies and procedures
- Drive employee engagement in assigned client group
- Participate in development & delivery of training programs for Managers
- HR projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field of study combined with three (3) years of Human Resources experience
- High School diploma or equivalent combined with five (5) years of Human Resources experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, preferably dealing with a unionized workforce
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to speak, read, and write the French language fluently
- CPHR certification.
- Proficiency with the Google suite of applications
- Experience dealing with multiple unions among the same workforces
