Purpose of the position
The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Leading all Talent Management activities (i.e., employee recruitment, job description & position classifications, onboarding/orientation, retention, and exit related activities).
- Manage and coordinate the corporate Professional Development (PD) Program.
- Investigating and responding to employee relations matters.
- Supporting the departments Employee Wellness Program to address employee health and wellbeing.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures.
- Liaising with Safety & Payroll to ensure accuracy of employee data and records.
- Other duties as required.

To be successful in this position, you will come with:
- A post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Labour Relations, or related field is required.
- CPHR designation would be an asset.
- Registered Professional Recruiter designation is required (Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada), or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
- The following would be definite assets (or willingness to obtain):
- Certified Training Professional (CTP).
- Certified Coaching designation.
- Certified in Conflict Resolution.
- 5 years of related experience, with 3 years of supervisory experience.
- A combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered.
- Education surrounding program development and training methodology would be preferred.
- Certified/trained in aspects of employee wellness (or willingness to obtain) would be preferred, including:
- Psychological Health and Safety Certification (Canadian Mental Health Association).
- Mental Health First Aid (Train-the Trainer is preferred).
- ASIST-Applied Suicide Intervention Training is preferred.
- Experience working with Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures would be preferred.
- Successful candidate must provide a Driver’s Abstract and a Criminal Record Check that meets the satisfaction of the County.

Position details
- Salary range is: $103,740.00 - $134,334.20 annually.
- Plus: 3weeks vacation, a comprehensive health & dental benefits program (100% employer paid) and participation in the LAPP pension plan.
- Full-time permanent position: Monday-Friday.
