General Construction/Carpentry Working Foreman

Type and Size of Projects:

o Commercial, Light industrial, Institutional

o Small to medium projects- $50,000-3,000,000

o Interior, warehouse, office, envelope, seismic and structural renovations.

Project locations:

From Vancouver to Abbotsford. We make an effort to fit employees into projects that are closer to home and promote a 40 hour work week.

Description:

A working foreman that can help complete projects with the team and manage small projects on their own.

Work can include:

Misc. carpentry and labouring work on site

Coordinating with trades on site

Coordinating other RJS employees

Corresponding with Project Manager or General Superintendent

Project updating through Procore (Managing software)

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

1. Be a hard-working, organized, team player.

2. Have a minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.

3. Have experience working on SMALL TO MEDIUM size projects.

4. Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques in BC.

5. Sound knowledge of procedures, methods, conditions, and documents related to building in BC.

6. Can read and interpret scopes of work, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications.

7. Be a proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situations with positive results.

8. Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety, people management and project execution.

9. Ensure high standards of ethics, integrity, and team spirit.

10. Is adaptable to change and variety of work.

11. Computer skills a plus.

12. Have a reliable vehicle for transportation.

A Criminal Record check will be required of the successful candidate to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
