We are currently looking for Delivery/Warehouse Assistants to work out of our Renfrew location.

Job purpose:

The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant will work closely with the other drivers, driver assistants and warehouse assistants to provide ongoing support in the daily delivery and warehousing processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist and support the Delivery Driver with route, schedule, and daily tasks of deliveries to and from specified destinations, assisting in the physical lifting and carrying of products into customers’ homes with care.
• Load and unload completed orders in delivery trucks, arranging them in the truck by order of daily delivery schedule and verifying paperwork against shipments to ensure accuracy and signoff document delivery status.
• Use proper personal protective equipment while on sites, around all vehicles and equipment.
• Unload goods at warehouse location
• Assemble individually wrapped cabinets into pallets by work order and operate pallet wrapper to wrap entire skid for protection during shipment
• Operate forklift as necessary
• Add skids to storage racking for future delivery
• Other duties as assigned by lead hand or manager.

Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12
• Forklift operator certification is considered an asset
• Clean drivers abstract
• Minimum 3 years experience driving large trucks (is an asset)
• G license with a clean driving record (DZ or AZ is an asset)

Specialized knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Experience

• Must be physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 100lbs
• Previous shipping/receiving/warehouse experience would be an asset
• Proven problem solving, communication, and planning/scheduling skills are essential
• Display initiative and a positive attitude
• Capable of working independently and as part of a solid team
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
• General knowledge of WHMIS, Working from Heights, Health and Safety
