Job Description - Class 3 or 1 Driver for Water Trucks or Air Vacs

Badger Daylighting is currently seeking to fill immediate opportunity for professional drivers to support projects in the Fernie/Sparwood, BC area. However, other out of town projects may be available.

Training will be provided for people with a desire to succeed, are clean cut, and can pass a drug and alcohol test.

Requirements

• Previous water truck, water bulker, vacuum truck, hydrovac, combo vac, semi vac or water truck or logging truck experience would be a significant asset.
• Commercial driving with a manual transmission experience.
• Must currently live in Canada.
• Positive attitude towards safety and willingness to learn.
• Mechanical inclination an asset.
• Must be able to work with a partner and fit into the team atmosphere.
• Must demonstrate a strong customer service focus, being able to handle a wide array of customer requests on site, and interacting with many different personalities is key.
• A class 3 or class 1 driver’s license is required with driving experience, general knowledge of the area is required.
• Safety tickets are not mandatory, but a great asset - First Aid/CPR, C.S.T.S., H2S, Fall Protection and Ground Disturbance.
• Project hours typically run Monday-Saturday 12 hours per day.
• Weekend work is required.
• Long hours required particularly spring, summer and fall.
• Willing to learn and being coachable is key.
• Summer project work will be available in 2024 as well.
• Can listen to directions and follow procedures and work independently.
• Be prepared for physically demanding outdoor work year-round.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have 6 or fewer demerits.
