Cabinet Engineer - Parksville Job at Mid Island Cabinets
We are looking for a cabinet engineer to join our processing team in our Parksville manufacturing facility! The cabinet engineer's role involves taking finalized drawings from our sales designers to verify and create shop plans, order materials, verify hardware, and create code for required machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifying hardware and appliances
- Ensuring materials are ordered in an accurate and timely manner
- Placing orders through Spendmap
- Using AutoCAD to verify custom walls, pieces, etc
- Using Alphacam to generate in-house custom doors and panels
- Using CabinetVision software to generate final plans and code to machines
- Troubleshooting cabinetry, assembly, and design layouts when required
- Completing data entry to spreadsheets
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of computers
- Previous cabinetry knowledge is an asset
- Work well in a group setting
- Good written and verbal communication
- Good problem solving skills
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 50lbs with another person
40 hours/week, Monday - Friday and occasional overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
