We are looking for a responsible and motivated individual to join our rapidly growing team as a 3D Scanning Technician. Our team’s goal is to gather data to assist our clients in their design and construction of their projects in multiple industries including oilfield and forestry. The role of the 3D Scanning Technician is to travel to sites and complete project specific surveys using a combination of 3D scanning and survey instruments. A successful candidate will have survey and/or pipefitting experience. The ability to work alone and with other team members remotely and in person is essential as we are spread out all over the western provinces primarily Alberta and Northern BC. Travel is required for this position as our clients operate throughout western Canada

Responsibilities:

• Preform field surveys using supplied equipment
• Effectively communicate with clients, project managers and drafting staff to manage timelines, client requirements, methodology, and budgets
• Contribute to our teams’ developing procedures and standards
• Efficiently and accurately transfer and manage data
• Work in both field an office setting
• Maintain and care for required equipment
• Work in a safe manner to ensure the safety of workers, equipment and the environment

Required skills and experience:

• Experience in surveying or pipefitting
• Experience in oilfield, construction and forestry projects is an asset
• A valid class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract
• Computer and data management skills
• Knowledge and experience with survey instruments such as total stations
• Problem solving skills are an asset as we regularly work alone on remote sites
• Valid safety tickets are an asset
• The ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
