Canurta is a preclinical biotechnology company pioneering the production of effective and novel polyphenol-rich ingredients and products to support prevention and recovery across a spectrum of indications for humans and animals in the food, wellness and biopharma sectors. Canurta is the patent-holder of multiple processes which enable the production of rare, non-cannabinoid, non-psychoactive polyphenols derived from hemp, which are scientifically proven to target and inhibit inflammation and other mediators of disease at their source.

Description

The Writer will be responsible for supporting brand writing, content strategy, campaign creation and marketing research to find unique insights in order to create original and engaging content for our website and social media platforms, thereby increasing customer and brand awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct research on industry-related topics to develop original and engaging content
• Develop content for blogs, articles, product marketing, social media, and company websites
• Assist the marketing department in creating engaging content
• Conduct keyword research and use SEO best practices to increase traffic to company websites, social media channels and other brand assets
• Identify customers' needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company's current content strategy
• Perform other tasks assigned

Requirements

• Post-secondary education or currently enrolled in post-secondary education in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or related field
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Effective communication, research, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CSJ is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help youth in Canada develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market; as such, the program has the following eligibility requirements. This job is advertised in accordance with the requirements for Canada Summer Jobs 2023.

• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
