JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Tour and Travel Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing sales and marketing activities as outlined below. This is a hybrid/remtoe postion where your location will be primarily based in a home office out of Banff, Canmore or Calgary. This position works hand in hand with the Group and Event Specialist based on site at the hotel. Occasional travel to the hotel may be required as necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes details for groups, tours and conferences from sales contracts provided by the sales manager.
- Manages travel and tour group leads within established parameters from initial inquiry to contract.
- Sales team lead for Sales Force and Opera. Enters all travel and tour bookings including room blocks and catering; any other details as specified in the contract or Banquet Event Order.
- Monitors room blocks, meeting space, food & beverage and special hotel requirements.
- Updates the status of bookings in Sales Force.
- Participates in trade shows or hotel site tours when needed.
- Assists sales manager with creating proposals and special event invitations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two-year college degree or equivalent.
- Two years related experience in Guest Services, Front Desk and Food & Beverage is preferred.
- Experience in social media management and execution is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated individual with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team orientated environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English

Salary: $48,500.00-$52,500.00 per year
