Position Summary
We’re looking for a Frontend Software Developer to join our Frontend Platform team.
Our Frontend Platform team is responsible for bringing the Design and UX vision to fruition and unify our software platform. As part of the team you'll strategize, build and maintain our in-house design system (component) library and frontend mono-repository. This collaborative workspace will have you defining and enforcing company-wide best practices and standards while providing support and assisting other teams. All customer-facing products at Miovision use the Frontend Platform.
Key Accountabilities

• Develop high-quality UX/UI components from initial design/prototype phase to production
• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain high quality software systems
• Champion the use of frontend automated testing, end user usage instrumentation, etc.
• Participate in code reviews

Skills/Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to build web applications using modern JavaScript techniques (e.g. Angular), and to modernize existing frontend development stacks through migrations
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Ability to work with a variety of partners including UX designers, data scientists, various product teams, and QA
• Comfortable taking ownership of problems and delivering complete solutions
• Being an enthusiastic code reviewer that prioritizes helping others deliver high quality code as much as doing the same in your own deliverables
• Experience working in version control systems (VCS) such as Git
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (or GitHub/CircleCI)
• Experience unit testing (Jest) and end-to-end testing (Cypress)

Additional Assets

• Working collaboratively in live code sessions (pair programming)
• Experience with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), SCSS and exposure to Tailwind
• Exposure to Storybook and writing stories would be an advantage
• Continuous delivery and trunk based development
• Knowledge of responsive design principles
• NestJS development experience couldn’t hurt
• Communication skills; be able to explain technology to people who may not be technically inclined
• Able to support your peers and other developers
• Able and willing to document (and maintain) guides, best practices and standards or be creative around training and shared learning.
• Basic experience with AWS services and architecture
