How good is Canada’s inter-generational pop culture knowledge? Who knows James Brown from their Millie Bobby Brown? Whose IQ stretches from Mr. Rogers to Mr. Incredible? We’re about to find out! Hosted by Canada’s own Lilly Singh, each episode of this nostalgia-packed quiz show features four charismatic contestants, each representing a different generation, who battle it out to discover who knows most about ALL their generations!


Bell Media’s digital content creation team is looking for an experienced and talented content leader who lives and breathes all things social media. Operating in an extremely fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative environment with globally recognized entertainment brands and series, we create digital and social content that is culturally relevant while standing out in the vast landscape of news, entertainment and lifestyle editorial.


As the Social Community Manager for Battle of the Generations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, moderation and publishing of all social content for our brand new original productions game show “Battle of the Generations”

Responsibilities:

  • Create effective, engaging, and compelling social-first copy & creatives across all Battle of the Generations social accounts
  • Lead community management and enforce publishing guidelines of all content across multiple platforms,
  • Manage social media content calendars that align with overall social media strategy and respond to viewer comments and inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain & champion the brand’s tone of voice, and uphold community management best practices.
  • Build our community, create fandom, drive engagement/conversation, and grow audiences.
  • Collaborate with strategists to conceptualize and create innovative, effective and on-brand messaging across all social platforms.
  • Assist in the development of social templates and manage digital assets.
  • Apply social, and competitive insights to support content creation and posting strategy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and algorithm changes to inform approach and drive performance.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure KPIs are being met, and make data-driven content recommendations.
  • Other duties assigned by Executive Producer/Managing Editor.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience - University graduate and/or advertising/marketing/journalism College degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience building social audiences and driving social performance.
  • Expert knowledge of all social media platforms, with a focus on TikTok.
  • Proven full-time copywriting experience in an agency, in-house marketing department, or freelance role.
  • Experience in content management/publishing tools, creation, optimization and adaptation in a nimble industry.
  • Deep understanding of various platform algorithms, social analytics and social listening tools.
  • Passionate interest in entertainment and lifestyle culture and always up-to-date with the latest news, trends and discussions.
  • Proven experience leveraging social media analytic platforms to inform strategy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Holds high creative content standards and attention to detail.
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Additional experience considered an asset:

  • Photography skills.
  • Experience with social measurement listening and analytic tools with an understanding of KPIs and industry benchmarks.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms.
  • Certifications for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Google Analytics.
