For more than 5 decades Dowco has worked to assemble possibly the largest, highly skilled and experienced 3D BIM personnel providing ‘specialized’ 3D detail engineering and drafting services. Dowco has a rich history of successfully delivering services to some of the most iconic projects in the world. Whether it be a Disney theme park, fantastical museum, athletic stadium, or landmark high-rise tower in New York City, no project is too big or small for Dowco.

Site superintendents oversee the construction process and are responsible for overall construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. This can include planning and scheduling, organizing, directing and controlling activities on the construction site.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion working in partnership with the Project Manager
• Manage all aspects of the construction site, while maintaining a professional, safe, and organized site
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
• Advise project team of conflicts in construction progress, quality of work or scheduling
• Lead project meetings with trades and provide guidance and direction when needed
• Excellent eye for finish detail
• Maintain report via Procore and schedule to demonstrate site progress
• Prepare lookahead schedules on a weekly basis for Project Manager & Subcontractors
• Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control including deficiency lists
• Identify items to be submitted as Request for Information to the Architect/Engineer or Owner prior to problem development at the site
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to the growth and development of the company while setting a professional leadership example
• Compliance to Work Safe BC Regulations
• Ability to work in a team environment; able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
• Ability to identify problems/issues; looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications and generates possible solutions
• Capable of adapting information/style to the audience; explains difficult information clearly and influences and persuades others towards consensus agreement in straightforward situations

Candidate:

• Only candidates with authorization to work in Canada will be considered.
• Candidates with Commercial TI experience are prioritized
• Must pass a typical industry standard background/security check.

Salary: $81,722.00-$125,401.00 per year
