The Work
This opportunity will play a pivotal role within the Application Development team that is part of Equitable's Concentra Bank line of business. This role is responsible for building scalable Azure solutions using Microsoft Technologies and providing technical expertise and assistance with solution development, execution and deployment. This position works with Solution Architects to deliver/enhance Business systems. This position also provides support and Maintenance to business systems.
The core parts of your role would be to:
- Ability to perform various roles (Developer, Tester, Support) depending on the need of the project.
- Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews
- Work with Solution Architects in providing recommendations and implementing highly scalable solutions
- Ensure all documentation is created and are up to date
Let’s Talk About You
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in technology, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology, with at least 2 years of experience in Azure
- Advanced programming skills in Microsoft Technologies (.Net, C#, SQL Server), JavaScript and building end to end solution.
- Azure knowledge on API Gateway, Function App, App Insight and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Comprehensive skills in explaining technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in architecting Azure/Cloud solutions.
- Experience working on older versions of .Net 2.0.
- Experience working on MS Office VBA Applications (Excel, MS Access).
- Knowledge of Open API standards and expertise in building, Optimizing, documenting (Swagger) RESTFUL API’s
- Strong troubleshooting/ debugging skills to achieve resolution to problems or issues
- Expertise in designing and building Unit test cases and CI/CD pipelines for deployments using DevOps
- Experience working with Source control tools like Git, GitHub, TFVS.
- Experience building Web, Desktop Applications.
- Understanding of Azure security to manage IT Risk expectations.
- Knowledge setting up Azure resources and configuring databases.
- Experience with UI/UX design principles.
- Knowledge on Agile (Scrum) and Experience working with Agile teams.
- Knowledge of Sequence diagrams, DFD.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including facilitation, presentation and the ability to communicate with business users
