We are in the midst of revolutionizing our core capabilities to maximize service and mission outcomes. This will include an integrated platform for relationship and people management, learning, intranet and data warehouse. In order to achieve all this, we are now recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for our HCM and LMS implementation (Workday).
What You’ll Do
- Manage larger scale, complex, high profile Workday HCM and LMS implementation on time and within budget
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO framework
- Mentor and advise junior team members
- Create detailed project plans, including resources, issue identification, resolution processes, communications, risk management, and status reporting
- Ensure business requirements are clear and complete
- Plan all project deliverables, including scope, goals, milestones, key success factors, and changes required
- Produce project plans to include scope, stakeholder list, schedule, charter, budget, risk, mandatory documents, missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements.
- Manage project change requests as needed and resolve project issues/conflicts and breakdown project barriers
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
- Collaborate with process owners, analysts, consultants, and other experts to manage project tasks
- Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
What You Bring
- University degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Commerce or Finance or IT-related degrees in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT Management or Project Management
- Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Minimum 7 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, at least 5 years of which delivered complex HCM and LMS solutions
- Minimum 2 years experience leading, negotiation, and managing the execution of vendor contracts
- Strong understanding of project management and systems development lifecycles
- Strong knowledge of current IT trends
- Skilled at planning, facilitating and leading high-impact, effective meetings with both technical and senior business participants
- Understands, models, and champions the strategic and tactical goals of the IT organization
- Must be conscientious and reliable with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and problem resolution
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Demonstrated personal commitment to continuous learning
