Responsibilities:

You will manage multiple projects from project award through installation to ensure that client expectations are exceeded. You will routinely meet with clients, understand their needs, document project scope, and provide design concepts and project management services to deliver profitable projects within time constraints. In a broader sense, you will provide leadership to the Niik team to deliver unprecedented business results for Niik and the clients.

• Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects
• Develops Work-in-progress (WIP) reports with inputs from the accounting team
• Defines project scope, deliverables and requirements in collaboration with clients
• Determines resources and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines
• Identifies project risks and develops and implements migration and contingency plans
• Monitors project delivery against timelines and ensure timely completion
• Oversees the activities of the project team and monitors project task completion
• Works with the project team (detailing, engineering, operation, and HQ office) and contributes technically to the engineered solution working within overall layout constraints
• Develops and maintains powerful, trusting relationships with clients and the Niik team
• Manage client expectations, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction
• Reviews documentation before submitting externally to clients and others
• Maintains control of change order process based on changing project scope and communicates openly with clients
• Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in project management with a steel fabrication knowledge
• PMP certification is an asset
• Extensive experience managing in a cross-functional team environment, ability to lead and inspire
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
• Ability to think ahead proactively, with a high degree of attention to detail
• Fast processor of information, energetic, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Understanding the steel fabrication process, steel grades, fastener grades, connection requirements, coating types, fabrication procedures, and installation requirements
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer literacy and use of MS Office programs
• Experience managing projects from award to completion
• Flexibility to travel to the client's site in Canada, the United States, and Internationally as required to execute the projects assigned successfully
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet client project commitments
