We are seeking a Senior Manager of Application Development to lead a talented and driven team, as we advance and expand our portfolio of applications. Your leadership skills and ability to strategize will be vital in helping the team deliver on corporate objectives and solve complex challenges through collaboration with other teams. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with product management and product owners to analyze and refine requirements.
• Scope and plan engineering efforts and dependencies in conjunction with engineering management and other teams.
• Ensure that technical guidance aligns with the engineering architectural vision and best practices.

• Streamline product delivery and ensure quality by identifying, defining, and refining engineering processes.
• As a leader, recruit and mentor software engineers.
• Facilitate agile project planning and execution by running weekly and monthly sprint planning and tracking cross-team dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
• Work with QA, product management, technical support, documentation, and technical operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Having managed software development engineering teams for over 3 years
• Possessing over 8-10 years of experience creating high-quality and scalable enterprise software
• Possessing 3-5 years of experience in high traffic ecommerce
• Strong knowledge of payment processing
• Proficiency in software engineering principles and ability to provide guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Familiarity with RESTful API design for developers
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
• Involvement in the development and management of micro-service-oriented architecture.

• Has been responsible for technical development teams as a technical lead, or application development manager. Highly technical (can still code), analytical and detail-oriented
• Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Strong technical leadership, project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Strong business acumen
• Team player with solid interpersonal skills
• Experience in influencing, developing, and or motivating people from diverse backgrounds and differing customer backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills at the working level as well as executive levels
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams and other analysts

• Able to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
