Guardteck Security is hiring Part-Time Security Guards sites in Kamloops!

Successful candidates will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain self-control and make quick decisions during emergency situations.

Wage: $18.36/hr

Duties:

• Mall Security duties within the common area
• Including but not limited to regular, visible and active exterior & interior patrols interacting with the public
• Verbally evicting individuals for site infractions, liaising with Police and Emergency Services as needed
• Access control for locked spaces, daily unlock/lock up duties of the mall
• Responding to phone calls, and assisting property management as needed
• Submitting high-quality security reports.

Position Requirements:

• Valid British Columbia security license
• Experience in working as a security guard or customer service experience in the retail or hospitality industry
• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written)
• Must be familiar with handling vagrants and intoxicated persons
• Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation
• Able to complete high-quality reports
• Comfortable working alone or with a diverse team
• Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively
• Flexible availability (afternoon & weekend shifts)
• Must be ready to meet new people and have a great time at work
