Company Description: United Workforce Group is currently seeking skilled Scaffolders to work on the LNG Canada Project in Kitimat, B.C. This is a long-term project with continued work for most of the 2023 calendar year.
Job Summary:
The Scaffolder will be responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding systems in accordance with industry and company standards to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems, including tubing and frame scaffolds, according to company and industry standards
- Inspect scaffolding systems for safety and report any issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay up to date with industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
- Journeyperson or fourth-year apprentice level in their respective trade
- Willingness to work 10-hour days, both day and night shifts
- Availability for a 14/7 rotation for BC and Alberta residents and 20/8 for the rest of Canada
- Ability to pass a site access drug and alcohol test
- CSTS, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and WHIMIS 2015 certifications required
- First Aid and AWP certification preferred
- Must be able to work in a unionized environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate according to classification and experience level
- Blended pay with overtime provided
- Camp accommodation provided with individual bathrooms and amenities such as a gym, theater, internet, and lounge
- Supplied flights from designated hubs with shuttles provided from the airport to the camp/site (Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Prince George, and Kelowna. Across Canada, Hubs have also been added to Regina, Winnipeg, Halifax, Hamilton, and St’ Johns N.L)
- No LOA provided
We offer a competitive hourly rate with blended pay and provided flights from designated hubs. Accommodations are provided in a camp setting with individual bathrooms and amenities including a gym, theater, and internet lounge. Shuttles are provided from the airport to the camp/site.
