Role Summary:

This is a rideshare driver opportunity contracted at a rate of $28 per hour. As a rideshare driver, you will be providing your service to the residents of Wellington County, ensuring passengers have an affordable transportation route for their daily needs in the region. The Ride Well program is in operation Monday-Friday from 6am-7pm with no weekends or holidays. This is an independent contract opportunity, where you have the ability to provide service 30-40 hours a week within the confines of service hours.

This is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit is being transformed from a system of static, scheduled fixed routes, to a dynamic on-demand network.

Requirements:

• Vehicle: Own a safe and reliable vehicle that will pass a safety standards certificate before you get out on the road. You will utilize your own vehicle in the provision of the rideshare services.

• Drivers License: You must obtain a valid G level license as well as valid and up to date vehicle insurance for the province of Ontario

• Maintenance: as a driver, you are responsible to make sure that your vehicle is clean and kept in good condition

• A successful candidate will require a clean background check and clean driver’s abstract

• Must be able to legally work in Ontario

• Preferred Requirement: Have access to an Android device with data capabilities

• Preferred Requirement: Previous experience driving a taxi, Uber or Lyft is desired

• Location: Guelph, Fergus, Elmira, Elora or Waterloo

Compensation and Logistics:

• Hourly Rate: $28/hour

• Hours of work: Full time (37.5 hours/week) and part time (0-20 hours/week) opportunities are available

• Insurance: Ridesharing insurance coverage is provided by us

• This is an Independent Contractor agreement
