The First Nations University of Canada invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant for a 4-months project, with the possibility of extension, to investigate constituent order patterns in Plains Cree, with particular focus on the identification and classification of articles through the use of the Ahenakew-Wolfart Plains Cree Corpus.

Duties and Qualifications:
Applicants may be a Master’s student of the University of Regina, with preference given to students with experience in Cree language programs at FNUniv.
The Research Assistant will:
- have knowledge of Cree language, with fluency a definite asset,
- have strong communication skills and ability to work independently, and
- have some facility with a variety of computer programs (word processing, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
