Job Description: Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Overview:

The Registered Massage Therapist work in conjunction with The Royal Spa team to create positive, relaxing experience to our guests. The RMT will see a range of clients, including hotel guests looking for a relaxing getaway, as well as members of the community who are seeking therapeutic treatment. The Royal Spa caters to everyone who would like to benefit from professional massage services.

Primary Tasks:

• Working with a small team of front desk staff and estheticians, the RMT will provide exceptional massage therapy treatments to guests and visitors of the hotel, and at times will be expected to assist other members of the team in providing spa guests with a seamless and welcoming experience
• The RMT must be able to develop, document and perform safe and relaxing massage therapy treatments based on both client needs and spa protocols
• The RMT must adhere to all human resources, treatment, and health and safety protocols set out by the hotel, including stringent Covid-19 related protocols
• The Royal will provide a front desk receptionist, marketing, a point-of-sale system, all required massage therapy supplies and products, laundry services, an online booking system, and a cloud-based medical charting system
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work flexible hours is a must for all successful candidates.

Qualifications:

• Certification (or in the process of obtaining certification) as a Registered Massage Therapist
• Registration in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
• Personal liability and malpractice insurance coverage

Schedule:

• Part-time, with the ability to work weekends

Compensation:

• Pay: Split remuneration set at 55-50% for the RMT; prices for 60-minute massage at $150
