Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator Job at Phoenix Industrial
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator to be based out of our Nisku, Alberta Office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing frontline support to the recruitment team. The successful candidate will participate in the various stages of the recruitment process and in some cases be a point of contact with external candidates.
Acting as the coordination hub for recruitment team members, the successful candidate will be accountable for, posting job openings, The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of highly valued close-knit team working to provide the best service to our internal clients.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the recruitment team in all aspects of attraction, recruitment, assessment, and selection activities as per the established recruitment process.
- Assist in coordination of key business processes/activities such as: creating offer letters, collecting tickets, coordinating pre-employment assessments, proofreading, and editing of job postings, resume screening and conducting pre-screen interviews and interfacing with candidates.
- Assist in creating job postings and posting job advertisements.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, recruiters, and candidates.
- Coordinate drug and alcohol testing, background and various pre-employment checks as required.
- Assist in managing the talent pipeline using our applicant tracking system (Taleo), documenting all communication and activity regarding candidate activity.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, candidates, and team members across multiple geographic locations.
- Assist in preparing candidate pre-hire documents (using Taleo).
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- Post-secondary education – Degree, or Diploma in Human Resources; CPHR candidate status or RPR designation(s) considered an asset.
- Some experience providing recruitment support including involvement in screening resumes, drafting offer letters, collecting tickets, coordinating pre-employment assessments, proofreading, and editing of job postings, resume screening and conducting pre-screen interviews.
- Working knowledge of recruitment best practices and framework.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Programs, Policies & Procedures, Collective Agreements and relevant legislation.
- Excellent client relations skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound prioritization and organizational skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in high-volume recruitment environment.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products.
- Advanced proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Meeting coordination and event (job fair and career fair) planning.
- Working understanding of the importance of safety policies and procedures.
- Client service experience, including developing customer relationships internally and externally.
- Experience using Taleo would be consider an asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates with industry and or technical experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in Oil & Gas, Trades and, or high-volume environments.
