Shifts: Sat/Sun 0630-1400
Wage: $23.99-$25.45 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from a recognized program for Care Aides
2. Previous experience in a residential care setting preferred.
3. Clearance to work with vulnerable adults as defined by the Ministry of Justice, Criminal Record Check
4. Certification in WHMIS required
5. Food Safe and First Aid preferred.
6. Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry as per legislation passed on June 30, 2010.
DUTIES:
1. Under the direction of the nurse, carry out the day to day care of residents including hygiene, bathing, dressing, and feeding. Manage resident incontinence.
2. Participate in assigned treatments as directed by supervisor.
3. Report any unusual occurrences to the nurse including changes in resident condition or behavior.
4. To be aware of all resident activities and enable residents to attend the programs.
5. To report to the Nurse/Director of Care /Maintenance team any malfunction or emergencies regarding any equipment.
6. To complete laundry and meal service duties.
7. To participate in any education programs offered and to attend any meetings or daily team conferences.
8. To assist in the admission of new residents ensuring clothing and personal possessions are marked with the resident’s name.
9. To assist in the orientation of new staff and the mentorship of students.
10. To read and follow the Trillium Communities policies, procedures and Employee Responsibilities.
11. To maintain resident confidentiality.
12. To represent the facility in a positive manner both within the facility and in the community.
13. To be a positive team member and work cooperatively with other team members in seeking to provide excellence in care and contributing to a positive work environment.
14. To perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $23.99-$25.45 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends only
