McAtee Psychology is a client-centered psychology practice that provides high quality psychological services that are designed to help individuals and their families move towards a more rich, connected, and meaningful life. We are a growing practice of psychologists who provide both counselling and assessment services to families, adults, and children/teens. We have locations in the communities of Douglas Glen and Sunalta, in Calgary.

We are seeking one contracted psychometrist to work directly under the supervision of a registered psychologist. Together, they will provide some combination of the following services: mental health/clinical psychological assessment; psycho-educational assessment; and autism assessment

The psychometrist will be required to administer, score, summarize, and provide report writing of psychological and other standardized tests.

Minimum Qualification include:

• Must be fluid in the English language in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.

• Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Child Development or relevant field.

• Two to five years of experience working in mental health services with children, youth or adults

• Minimum two years or more of experience providing psychological evaluation services to children and/or adults

• Capacity to independently administer and score the WISC-V and the WIAT-III.

Experience with the following will be an asset:

• Knowledge of current testing instruments

• Familiarity with online technology such as Jane App, Google Resources (e.g., Google Meet, Chat)

• Experience using the following online scoring tools/technology: MHS, Q-interactive, Q-global, WMS, Pearson

• Experience performing all or some of the components of psychological testing: intake session; report writing; scoring and interpretation of psychological tests; delivery of psychological tests

• Skilled at motivating children who struggle with learning, attention, and/or behavioral challenges to demonstrate their best effort on comprehensive (so at times long) test batteries

• Competency with the following: WPPSI-V, WAIS-V, CAARS/Conners, Vinelands, ABAS, BASC, BRIEF, ADOS-2, ADI-R, and PAI

• Competency using Q-interactive to administer psychological tests such as the WISC-V and the WIAT-III.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing psychological assessment services during designated hours

• Collaboration and consultation with administrative staff and psychologists in the completion of psychological assessment services

• Ongoing professional development, on top of current research and methodologies

• Using technology to communicate with clients and complete psychological assessments
