CME Ltd. – Port Alberni Division is currently seeking an organized, highly energetic and motivated Project Engineer/Technical Coordinator to support our Operations.

Highlight of job duties:

The desired candidate will contribute to an array of ongoing projects and will assist in multiple levels such as procurement, drawings, design and more. We are looking for someone with junior to intermediate level of experience in a mechanical engineering/engineering technology/Drafts person. This candidate will report to the Engineering manager but will work with the management and technical team pending particular projects.

Here’s what we’re seeking in the successful candidate:

• Strong mechanical aptitude in all mechanical disciplines (Structural, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, machine design, etc.)
• Proficient in Solidworks/AutoCAD; modelling, design, and drawings.
• Strong ability to interpret comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team dynamic with the added ability to be self-motivated/sufficient.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Projects)
• Basic understanding of procurement process/supply chain
• Marine/boatbuilding experience would be a bonus
