Overview:
Lafarge Construction Edmonton is currently looking for people to join our team, the labourer/parts driver duties are to carry out scheduled, clean up and parts delivery, successful candidates should be hardworking, self- motivated and enthusiastic team players, willing and ready to work with all personalities.
Responsibilities:
STRUCTURE:
- Report to Warehouse Supervisor / Shop Foreman
- Work co-operatively with all Greater Edmonton personnel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
- Seek out and implement Best Practices
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork
- Identify and communicate product problems and information
- Perform several types of manual work
- Handle materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate automotive vehicles when required
- Clean and sweep all areas of shop as required
- Work in Wash Bay Cleaning machines and vehicles
- Deliver and pick up parts from suppliers as required
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure safety goals are achieved
- Comply with all company safety rules
- Semi-skilled, enthusiastic, has the ability to work on their own initiative
- Knowledge in general maintenance work
- Capable of working in an outgoing environment
- Clean drivers abstract
- Able to work long hours and weekends
- Ability to work with a group or alone
- Able to follow all safety requirements
As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
