RIVER PLACE PARK -CAMPGROUND PATROL

Reports To: Pike Lake Owners

Job Summary: Campground Security is responsible for overseeing the security of the campground, patrolling buildings and grounds at River Place Campground.
Part-time night shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

 Communicate immediately to manager (or if manager is unavailable, to Pike Lake owner) if an incident occurs

 Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry

 Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers

 Control traffic by directing drivers
 Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; obtaining signatures
 Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
 Provide excellent customer service
 Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
 Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations
 Ensure that all federal, provincial and municipal laws, policies and procedures related to campground services are adhered to.
 Maintain a good working relationship with all employees and guests to foster and promote a working environment that maximizes morale, productivity and efficiency.
 Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
 Implement and enforce policies and procedures established by Pike Lake Golf Centre

Limited.
 Maintain ongoing communication with campground owners by phone, email or fax.

Job Requirements and Competencies:
 Completed WHIMS training.
 Possess a valid driver’s license.
 Previous security or law enforcement experience is an asset
 Must be a team player who works well with others.
 Able to work well under pressure.
 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
 Highly motivated and able to work independently.
 Decision Making and Judgment

 Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

 Professional appearance and manners
 Demonstrate good problem solving skills
 Customer Service skills
 Enforcing Laws, Rules and Regulations

Work Conditions:

 Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
 Weekends/Night shifts required
 Hazards associated with the trade
 Work both indoors and outdoors
 May be required to respond to emergency situations
