We are looking for an English teacher with an excellent background in language instruction to join our team. The ability to speak English as a native language is required, as we are looking for someone who has experience teaching English to kids who are learning it as a second language. The ideal candidate will be able to plan fun and engaging lessons and hold the students' attention while teaching English grammar rules, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

Responsibilities:

• Teach classes using curriculum, across multiple levels, as assigned
• Prepare lesson plans according to established syllabus
• Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, including maintaining classroom facilities
• Maintain accurate record keeping for daily attendance and student performance
• Complete all paperwork within required deadlines
• Attend staff meetings and in-house workshops; participate in ongoing teacher training programs
• Become familiar with and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Tutor students as assigned and if available
• Work with academic supervisor to improve delivery of our academic Accept and incorporate feedback on classroom performance to ensure positive and meaningful student experience
• Effectively communicate with school administrative staff regarding planned and unplanned absences; provide clear instructions and materials for substitutes

Requirements:

• Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada or US
• Experience with international students or ESL students and/or overseas teaching experience
• Experience in teaching online via Zoom

Please note that as most our students are located in East Asia, instructors may be required to work between 5-9am EST during weekdays. Please make sure you are aware of this before applying.

Part-time hours: 5-30 per week

Salary: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
