Description :
The CIUSSS de l'Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal is currently looking for a nurse to fill a part-time day shift position on the Child Psychiatry Hospitalization Unit at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute.
The unit provides highly specialized psychiatric services to adolescents aged 12 to 17 years due to the severity and complexity of their mental health problems. The majority of patients suffer from severe anxiety and depressive disorders with school avoidance. This unit is part of a continuum of care that includes a day hospital and a transitional outpatient clinic.
Services include assessment and diagnosis, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments (e.g., psychotherapy), nursing care and 24/7 supervision by all staff.

As part of his/her responsibilities, the nurse will:
- Evaluate the physical and mental status of patients;
- Participate in meetings with the multidisciplinary team;
- Participate in the various therapies offered to patients;
- Communicate with the patients' families.

Requirements :
The desired candidate must:

- Hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a diploma deemed equivalent by the competent authorities;
- Be a member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ);
- Have the ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with a French and English-speaking clientele;
- Have one (1) year of experience in child psychiatry.
